Rescuing Orphaned Wildlife

Orphaned wildlife should be taken to a responsible organisation who will allocate a carer to look after it.

Injured animals need vet care, not wildlife carers.

The R.S.P.C.A. is based at Wacol and the wildlife hospital takes in all wildlife, as does Australia Zoo who are based at Beerwah.

Please deliver the orphan to the carer if you can.

Many wildlife carers are noted on Facebook but please take the orphan to the carer you contact rather than expecting the carer to come to you.  Many carers do not have the time to go out on the number of rescues they get called for, otherwise they would not have the time to feed and look after the animals in their care.
